Motorhome firm expands

A caravan and motorhome firm has invested £300,000 to improve a store in the north-east, it has been reported.

In a development which may interest the area's campervan insurance holders, Discover Leisure expanded the Barrons dealership in Darlington to 8,500sq ft, according to the Northern Echo,

The firm has also merged the service area into the sales section of the Burtee Gate store, which is one of the main outlets in its 16-strong chain.

Dale Watts, store manager, told the newspaper: "This is an important investment in our site, making Darlington one of Discover's flagship stores in the UK."

Mr Watts also said the new layout is proving popular with customers, who now find it easier to make their way around the shop.

Last week, the Caravan Club revealed it has opened a new £1.9 million park in Derbyshire which makes use of sustainable technologies such as recycled toilet water and solar power.
