Italian motorcycling legend Valentino Rossi could still make the switch into Formula One racing in 2007. After winning the Moto GP crown seven-times, the 26-year-old is contemplating making the switch to four wheels. Rumours persist that Rossi could be snapped up by Ferrari, and could even partner Kimi Raikkonen or Michael Schumacher. Rossi has been undergoing extensive testing with Ferrari at Mugello this week. However, the superstar biker told Motor Cycle News he is still undecided as to where he will be after the next MotoGP season. "I've never said I've decided to go to Formula One, and I still can't say that," said Rossi. "The problem is that I am still a motorcycle rider in my mind." Nevertheless, Ferrari has made no secret of the fact that it wishes Rossi to run several regular tests next year, with the prospect of signing a deal to race for the team. The Italian motoring giants have also reportedly imposed a June 2006 deadline for Rossi's decision to join the Formula One world.
