A Croatian biker who filmed himself on a wild, speed-limit-shattering ride was fined after the police saw pictures of the adventure (speedometer included) posted on the net, the Jutarnji List reports. The 28-year-old dare-devil, known only as D.M, reached speeds of over 100 mph as he tore through northern Croatia and was so chuffed with himself that he posted pictures of the illegal ride on a local website. Unfortunately for D.M, alert Croatian police noticed the pictures and the excessive speeds involved and promptly slapped the wannabe-Valentino Rossi with a hefty fine. "Guys like this may not know that the police scan the internet. This is a warning to them not to play games on the road and threaten their own and others people's lives," the police told the newspaper. "He was trying to be a hot shot," they added. To add insult to injury, upon further investigation the police discovered that the bike was illegally imported from neighbouring Slovenia, which will undoubtedly cause the unfortunate D.M another fine.
