Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts flocked the British Motorcycle Federations (BMF) seventh annual Kelso Bikefest over the weekend. Set in the beautiful environs of Kelso's Springwood Park in Scotland, the hot weather, combined with the awesome selection of hot motorcycle metal, proved irresistible to the 13,035 attendees, 700 up from last year. For the first time, the Bikefest was held over two days and saw 1,900 choose to camp in the park. The BMF stated: "Renowned for being in fantastic biking country, Saturday's ride-out proved a hit with many and added another dimension to Kelso's Civic Week while back at base, those energetic enough took part in a Tug of War while an impromptu run around the arena saw £145 raised for Sport Relief." Purpose-built biplanes of the Denny Dobson Air Display put on a show that had the crowds on their feet. A custom chopper sporting a 1853cc V twin, built by new company Wild Boar, won the Best In Show competition.
