Romanian PM takes a spill

It's not often heads of state fall off their motorbikes, or even ride motorbikes, but Romanian PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu is the exception that proves the rule.
The hapless Tariceanu collided with a car on a road outside Bucharest, but only sustained minor injuries and is said to be recovering well, reports the Bucharest Daily News.
Tariceanu came to power in 2004 and is an enthusiastic biker, regularly seen roaring around the streets of Bucharest on his beloved Harley Davidson.
Government spokesperson Oana Marinescu said: "His health condition is improving.
"He has a serious twisted knee that will require (further) treatment."
A row erupted between the police and the PM's bodyguards, as it is alleged the bike was removed from the scene of the crash in order to hamper the police investigation into the incident.
However it has been concluded that that for the accident to have occurred the Tariceanu must have been speeding and he now faces the prospect of having his driving license rescinded for up to three months.
