As Israeli shells and rockets rained down on Lebanon in the past few weeks, creating one of the largest exodus of refugees seen in recent times, desperate Lebanese civilians used any way they could to get out.
Cars, trucks, donkeys and yes, even a lucky motorcycle were used to escape the deadly Israeli barrage.
Calling the green Yamaha motorbike that they happened to find their "chariot", Adel Fadlallah, 20, and Amina Samhat, 14 sped out of their under-seige village of Ainata, on the Lebanon-Israel border, reports McClatchy Newspapers.
Fadlallah had found the motorbike, complete with bloodstained seat, at the bottom of a bomb crater that he passed.
"I was scared about falling off the bike – even in normal times he's a crazy driver", Samhat told McClatchy Newspapers.
The friends finally made it to relative safety in the city of Tibnine.
Meanwhile Israel has promised to widen its ground offensive in southern Lebanon, where clashes between Israeli troops and Hezbollah fighters have grown ever bloodier.
