CCM unveils the new Street Scrambler

Bolton-based bike manufacturer CCM has announced details of its new SR40 Street Scrambler bike, enduro news reports.

The SR40 features a Suzuki 400 cc engine with an electric start and a 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel.

Made of aluminium parts with a sump guard, the SR40 also features a polished tank with rubber inset knee pads.

Like many of CCM's bikes, the SR40 will be a limited edition model, with manufacturing due to start in early 2007.

CCM also manufacture the popular R35 model, a 398 cc bike.

Of the R35, the company states: "It is a match for any 400cc supermoto bike with unrivalled style and quality. Bred from the success of CCM's international supermoto racing efforts the R35 is an excellent all-rounder.

"Larger fuel tank than the competition, lighter than the opposition and made in the UK."

With the availability of the 450 big bore kit, the R35 will give unmatched performance, according to CCM.
