Commitment-phobes look away now, for there seems to be no escaping the prospect of marriage if this story is anything to go by.
According to the BBC, Leigh Walker - who was seriously injured when his Kawasaki hit a Mercedes on the A90 - is planning to marry his fiancee… from his hospital bed.
It seems like he must have bumped his head too, because he told his missus-to-be he wanted to set a date for the nuptials after she took at 550 mile trip by taxi to be at his bedside.
The couple - who met on a biking website at Easter - plan to be married on October 16th by the hospital chaplain.
The loyal fiancee, 42, told the beeb: "Where we are getting married does not matter at all - it is the fact we are making the commitment to each other."
Leigh, 49, was admitted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary two weeks ago after suffering a fractured pelvis, dislocated knee, fractured shin bone and bruises to his heart and lungs. If that wasn't enough, he got MRSA too.
So, that concludes our lesson for today on why you should always ride safely and with maximum protection… or you might wake up married…
