Motorbike show dates are moved

Those planning to visit the International Motorbike and Scooter Show next year have been alerted to a change in the scheduled dates of the event.

Originally planned for October 25th to November 4th 2007, the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre will now play host to the show from November 22nd to December 2nd, reports Enduro News.

The dates have been rescheduled due to a clash with the 2007 Milan Motorcycle Show, as organisers wanted to give fans the chance to visit both events while ensuring that the UK show's profile is kept as a key date on the motorcycle calendar.

If the original dates had been kept, the many exhibitors and manufacturers booked for each event would not have been able to attend both, which could leave many fans disappointed.

Finlay McAllan, managing director of organizers MCI Exhibitions, told Enduro News: "The new dates and location offer us a blank canvas to work from and in fact give us a chance to re-launch the show."

The EICMA show in Milan recently finished its run for 2006, where Motorcyle News reported that the Ducati 1098 was named as the most beautiful bike by voters in Motociclismo magazine.
