Catch MotoGP action on DVD

Stock up the fridge with beer and snacks, because a new DVD is scheduled for release next week which contains 180 glorious minutes of MotoGP action.

MotoGP Review 2006 could be the perfect way to spend an afternoon, featuring various highlights, behind the scenes action and race analysis. It also includes a host of interviews with riders such as Valentino Rossi and championship winner Nicky Hayden.

There is also a full commentary on this season, which saw Kentucky-born Hayden clinch the title from under Rossi's nose.

And footage taken by on-bike cameras gives a unique angle to the compilation, giving viewers an insight into race tactics and riding experience.

Meanwhile, Hayden has recently undergone surgery for a shoulder injury he picked up during this season's race in Portugal, reports MotoGP.com.

The procedure involved parts of his bone being "shaved off" and the metal plate on his shoulder being replaced, which is probably as painful as it sounds…
