The Great Escape star Steve McQueen has taken pole position in a survey to find the most iconic biker of all time.
Organised by the MCN London Motorcycle Show and Yahoo! Cars, the poll saw 25 per cent of the votes go to McQueen, reports Easier.
He was followed in second place by much loved and sorely missed racing champion Barry Sheene, who jointly shared the position with Valentino Rossi.
Daredevil Evil Knievel took fourth place, while the chart also featured professional bikers Mike Hailwood, Joey Dunlop and Mick Doohan.
However, the top ten also included Hollywood stars such as Tom Cruise, Marlon Brando and Ewan McGregor, who have all appeared in iconic motorcycle films, documentaries, or, in Cruise's case, rode one in Top Gun when he was really annoyed with Kelly McGillis.
Scotsman McGregor recently completed a hog-tastic 19,000 mile trip from London to New York on a BMW motorbike.
