A serious motorbike buff is about to embark on a two-week, 4,500 kilometre journey around India to raise money for a children's illness charity.
Vicky Burrows and around 100 other participants will be riding Indian-made Royal Enfield Bullet motorbikes, modelled on a 60-year-old design, the Welwyn & Hatfield Times reports.
Barred from motorbikes by her mother until the age of 22, Ms Burrows has since ridden her BMW GS650 from John O'Groats to Land's End in 24 hours.
The intrepid 25-year-old ambulance technician's road passion has also taken her to North America and Indonesia, as well as on a trip across Europe in a K-registration Metro.
"I'm used to travelling in strange forms of transport," she told the newspaper.
After the ride, the bikes will be donated to the World Wildlife Federation in India to help patrol wildlife parks for poachers.
The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 in the cruiser segment received a TNS Voice of the Customer Award in Mumbai for highest level of customer satisfaction in 2006.
