Cage hits screens as stunt motorcyclist

Nicolas Cage is currently appearing on cinema screens throughout the US as stunt biker Johnny Blaze - also known as his alter ego, Ghost Rider.

The film, which opened in the States last week and is set for release here on March 2nd, features Cage as a biker who sells his soul to the devil in return for the life of his beloved stepfather.

But after the deal goes wrong, Blaze is imbued with the physical form of the devil, which turns him into a skeleton and makes his bike catch fire as he drives it.

And in order to portray the split-personality superhero, Cage drove a Buell bike for his stunt scenes and a chopper called Grace for when he becomes a hell-blazing vigilante.

The movie is currently riding high at the top of the US box office, having grossed a total of $52 million (£26.65 million) in its first week of release.
