Glorious Goodwood welcomed the replacement of four legs with two wheels recently as visitors descended on the venue for a triumphant Best of British event.
Known more for its horseracing than its petrol-head credentials, the West Sussex attraction's motor circuit held the first of its breakfast club meetings at the weekend and witnessed a display of British engineering at its finest.
Among the motorcycles on display at the circuit and the surrounding country lanes were a Thunderbird bike and an impressive fleet of Triumph motorbikes while car drivers pitched in with a TRS Le Mans car and Triumph Italia vehicle.
The Goodwood Motor Circuit plays host to a total of seven breakfast club events this year and July 1st 2007 sees the On Yer Bike day when all kinds of two-wheeled innovations will be making their way down to the venue where they will be joined by a series of four wheelers with a bike engine.
Riders with two-wheeled transport of the slightly slower variety will also be made welcome at April's breakfast club meet when the theme is Forza Italia – From Scooters to Supercar.
Meanwhile, kind-hearted scooter fans in Workington recently showed their softer side when their club donated £1,700 to an air ambulance crew, reported the News and Star.
