Ducati's young star Casey Stoner is revving up for this weekend's second-round challenge at Jerez in Spain after having cruised to victory in Qatar.
And the 21-year-old, saying that the race was "perfect", explained why he found the MotoGP Championship's first race for this season so enjoyable and what he thought about the upcoming challenge.
"I was able to set my own pace throughout the race, not pushing too much," Stoner said. "At Jerez I seem to do reasonably well, never that great, but we'll see how things pan out this time."
Sailing past Valentino Rossi to take first place in Qatar, Stoner began the season on a winning streak but still has 16 races to go before the tournament ends at the Valenciana circuit.
Jerez is not only an exciting 4,423-metre track but is blessed with beautiful scenery with enough viewing facilities for a huge crowd to watch the competition unfold.
