The Bennetts British Superbike Championship is set to get off to a roaring start on Monday when the tournament commences at the Brands Hatch circuit.
And although Leon Haslam finished as runner-up last year, he is adamant that it will not happen again.
The Airwaves Ducati rider said he intends "to start where he left off … by winning".
However, he might face a challenge from reigning champion Ryuichi Kiyonari, who will be donning his HM Plant Honda gear to begin the defence of his crown.
"I ride very hard and fast," he warned. "And want to win to keep the title."
Meanwhile, Airwaves Ducati announced today its riders had completed their testing at the circuit and were ready to start the real thing on Monday.
Haslam and his team-mate, Gregorio Lavilla, completed full practice sessions on Sunday when the weather was suitable.
