Ducati Marlboro rider Casey Stoner must have been a happy bunny this weekend after winning the MotoGP third round in Istanbul and going ten points clear at the top of the championship leaderboard.
In his second win of the season, Stoner beat Honda Gresini's Toni Elias into second place and Loris Capirossi - his team mate at Ducati - into third.
Australian Casey is now sitting pretty after the Istanbul circuit, having clocked up 61 points so far this season and leading Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa in the official standings.
He outlined his strategy for the recent race, telling motogp.com that he just got his head down and kept building up as much of a lead as possible.
"I was really focused on getting through the first couple of laps," he said. "I couldn't do anything wrong really today."
In addition, Ducati leads both the constructor and team leaderboards, ahead of Honda and Fiat Yamaha respectively.
