Fans of superbike champion Carl Fogarty, known better as Foggy, may be interested to learn that he has been inducted into a hall of fame - for a children's charity, that is.
The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) honoured the legend for his fundraising efforts, the Blackburn Citizen reports.
Foggy told the publication that his dedication to raising money knows no bounds, saying: "If anybody wants to pay a few thousand pounds to see me ride around naked - I'll do whatever it takes."
After riding from the legendary bikers' hang-out Ace Cafe in Wembley to Westminster as part of an NSPCC fundraiser in 2003, Fogarty kept up his support for the charity by donating signed memorabilia and making periodic visits. The Blackburn-born bike ace told the crowd at the Commons event: "As parents, we believe that all children should have the chance to grow up in a loving environment."
Other celebrities who were honoured included Tracy Emin, Judy Dench and Noel Edmonds.
