MotoGP rider Nicky Hayden is suffering from a sore chest following last weekend's competition at Le Mans, where he had a pretty bad day and failed to finish.
Speaking to the tournament's official website, he explained his reasons for some post-race testing, even though the American admitted he wasn't feeling up to full strength.
"Sitting at home on the couch wasn't really an option," Hayden said, adding that with the way this year's results are going, his team also needs to work on its tyres to contend with wet weather.
"I've felt a lot better in my life," he continued.
The Kentucky rider is currently residing in 11th place after five rounds, although he could still catch up what with 13 more races to go.
Next up is the Tuscan circuit at Mugello, which clocks in at 5,245 metres and first joined the MotoGP list in 1976.
