A seminar is to be held in South Tyneside to offer scooter and motorbike lovers advice and tips on road safety.
Launched after a number of riders were injured in collisions, police in the region are hoping the information session will help people to develop their skills on the vehicles, reports the Shields Gazette.
In addition, would-be bikers - both those looking to graduate from scooter to motorcycle and people entirely new to riding - will be offered a range of advice at the seminar.
"What we want is to ensure that riders stay safe by meeting with them, talking to them and answering any questions they may have," explained John Hall, operations inspector of South Tyneside area command.
He added that the session was aimed at giving new and existing riders "that extra bit more" knowledge and help on road safety issues.
South Tyneside is located in the north-east of the UK in the county of Tyne and Wear.
