Budding mechanics who may have replaced their bike's parts with swanky new accessories could be wondering what to do with the old ones.
However, a scheme in Norwich, which helps to train youngsters in the motor engineering trade, are calling for bikers in the area to donate their motorcycle parts as they can be used for workshops.
According to Evening News 24, the Open Road project dedicates one day a week to children over 13 years old who are at risk of being excluded from school.
It aims to help them gain a recognised qualification, the newspaper said.
"We are supported by some of the major motoring organisations, but we still desperately need any old parts - even if it is just an engine - for our mobile workshops," said PC Colin Lang of Norwich police.
He added that there will be no cost for donating parts and the organisation can even arrange collection.
The project is located in the village of Trowse, which is situated in South Norfolk.
