Moving 'can be stressful for pets'

Moving house can be stressful for pets as well as people, it has been claimed.
Persimmon Homes Anglia notes that it can be difficult for animals to adjust to their new surroundings following a home move.
Accordingly, the property developer is offering pet owners tips on how to care for their animals over the course of a house move.
"By following these handy tips we hope your beloved animals will have a stress free move too," Jon Gibbs, sales director for Persimmon Homes Anglia commented.
Tips include for owners to keep animals in one secure room during the move in bid to prevent them from being injured or escaping.
Owners are also advised to keep temperatures constant - especially for avian pets - while cats need to be kept indoors for the first few weeks following a move and ensuring they wear correct identification.
However, although precautions such as these could help pets be more secure following a move, animal lovers should ensure their pet insurance is up to date in case of unforeseen incidents.
