Dog spends two weeks unharmed under van bonnet

A dog that had gone missing for two-and-a-half weeks was found under the bonnet of it's owner's van.
The six month-old jack russell terrier called Charlie went missing during a storm, leading owner Michelle Daley to believe that it had sought shelter and would return when the weather improved.
After Charlie did not return, Ms Daley put posters up around the area and bought another dog to help her cope with the stress.
Ms Daley told the Metro that she had travelled extensively looking for the canine, travelling as much as 30 miles per day.
Her partner, Paul Bradley, discovered Charlie sat on top of the van's battery a fortnight after it first went missing. The dog was unharmed, avoiding the need for any costly pet insurance claims.
Speaking to the Metro, Ms Daley said "I can't believe he's alive. I've been all over Merseyside."
Research conducted earlier this year by swiftcover.com indicated that 34 per cent of Brits preferred to spend time with pet rather than their partner.
