Famous cat-lovers are donating their "paw prints" in a fund-raiser for one of the UK's leading pet welfare charities.
Celebrities including Ricky Gervais, Sir Michael Caine and Prunella Scales are taking part in the Cats Protection Celebrity Paws auction which aims to raise awareness and funds in celebration of the aid organisation's 80th birthday.
Prime minister Gordon Brown and David Cameron are also taking part in the event.
Each personality was asked to draw around their hand then sign and decorate it to create a unique item which can then be auctioned online.
Head of fundraising and communications for the charity stated: "We wanted to do something extra special to mark Cats Protection's 80th birthday and we are delighted that Celebrity Paws has attracted such support from cat lovers in the public eye."
The auction is being run in association with eBay and will run from September 27th to October 6th.
Cats Protection recently recommended that owners should take out adequate pet insurance for their cats regardless of their animal's age.
