Rehomed dog 'on the way to recuperation'

A recently rehomed dog is on the road to making a full recovery after a number of turbulent experiences, it has been reported.
Kaiser has been living with the Power family for six weeks since they brought the 18-month-old canine home from an RSPCA centre where he was housed after being mistreated by his previous owners, reports the Bucks Herald.
Within a fortnight of joining the household, Kaiser developed a serious stomach illness and may have died, but he pulled through after two weeks of care and attention.
Comprehensive pet insurance is advisable for people who take home an animal from a sanctuary or rehoming centre as they may not be aware of the medical history of the new member of their family.
Should they require a potentially costly veterinary procedure, pet insurance may allow families to focus more on caring for their animal and less on fiscal matters.
The Norwich Evening News recently reported about a dog that unexpectedly required veterinary attention after it was found to have in-growing eyelashes.
