Runaway dog reunited with family

An Exeter family have been reunited with their pet dog after it went missing for almost two months, it has been reported.
The Staffordshire bull terrier cross-breed disappeared from his family's home in July without a collar, tag or any means of identification according to the Norwich Evening News.
Fortunately for the Arthurton family, a member of the public spotted the stray pooch, which led to Merlin being brought back home.
According to the publication, the canine will now be provided with a new collar and tag as well as being fitted with a microchip in case he goes missing again.
Should Merlin have been injured when he was found, his owners may have faced expensive veterinary bills, but comprehensive pet insurance can provide a way for pet lovers to focus on looking after their animal rather than worrying about the cost of medical procedures, should they be required.
Earlier this month, the Times reported on an increasing number of specialist pet health clinics being established in the UK.
