Catwalk to become dogwalk for pet fashion show

Designer fashion items for pets are due to go on sale in a special collection at Harrods this week, it has been reported.

The Pet a Porter fashion event will feature creations from fashion industry figures including Vivienne Westwood, Basso & Brooke and Ben de Lisi, according to ViewLondon.co.uk.

Canine models will exhibit dog accessories, coats and everything in between on a 60 ft catwalk, the website asserts.

While designer goods may be deemed a luxury for loved pets, consumers may find that comprehensive pet insurance provides a way for them to better cope with potentially costly veterinary bills should an animal be involved in an unforeseen accident.

The site states that a new Harrods dog brochure will be launched at the show, which will feature the latest in canine fashion.

Owners may wish to treat their pets to a new fashionable item to celebrate the recent World Animal Day, which occurred on October 4th.
