Pet rescue centre becomes wedding venue

An animal refuge near Peterborough has been granted a licence to perform civil partnerships, marriages and naming ceremonies, it has been reported.
The 52-acre Wood Green Animal Shelters site in Godmanchester can cater for both indoor and alfresco ceremonies, where couples can enjoy "dogs barking in the background and the sweet smalls of the countryside", according to the Peterborough Evening Telegraph.
Wood Green spokesperson Nicola Green told the publication that the site had a number of requests from people asking to use the site as a wedding venue and that consumers are welcome to bring along their pets to the big day.
Consumers wishing to ensure that their furry friends are protected for a wedding may find they can benefit from taking out comprehensive pet insurance, which may be able to help animal-lovers with potentially costly veterinary bills, should an unforeseen accident occur.
It was recently reported by the Daily Mail that a number of pets were blessed and allowed to get married to celebrate World Animal Day on October 4th.
