A nationwide search for the best dog-walking locations is currently underway.
Pet nutrition firm Hill's has teamed up with tourism bodies VisitScotland, enjoyEngland and VisitWales to find the top 21 dog walk routes.
The scheme has been launched to raise awareness of how important mobility is for the nation's canines as well as the dangers that are associated with obesity in our four-legged friends.
Routes currently on the shortlist include the Lake District in Cumbria, Constitution Hill in Aberystwyth and Balloch Castle Country Park in Loch Lomond.
Tom Wright, chief executive of VisitBritain commented: "With nine national parks, more than 3,000 miles of coastline, stunning landscapes and beaches, as well as parks, rivers and canals in towns and cities the length and breadth of the country, we're spoilt for choice.
"So pick up that lead, pack your pooper-scooper, get out and enjoy."
Regular exercise can help pet owners to ensure that their animals remain fit and healthy, as well as reducing the likelihood of having to make a potentially costly pet insurance claim due to ill-health.
The closing date for voting is November 30th.
