How much is that doggy in the window? About £14,000

The average dog lives between 13 and 15 years, at a cost of about £1,000 per year, according to the Dogs Trust.
However, Tesco Pet Insurance reports that only 12 per cent of owners have cover for their animals.
As such, this leaves a worryingly large number of people without sufficient cover should their animal become sick or be injured.
This may be even more concerning when taking into consideration the fact that almost half (47 per cent) of all UK households own a pet.
"Sadly this is quite common, more than half of dog owners have taken their dogs to the vet in the last two years - if you are not insured, there's a hefty price to pay," comments Allan Burns from the firm.
In related news, secretary of state for the environment Hilary Benn noted the importance of caring for domestic animals in recent days, following a visit to a pet hospital.
