First aid care for pets
Posted :

Animals that injure themselves could soon be looked after by their owners, it has been reported.
Those who wish to learn how to car for their cats and dote on their dogs can attend a first aid for animals course in Somerset, which will teach a range of relevant skills.
Classes will be given on how to restrain animals, first aid and how to safely transport a pet to a veterinary surgery.
Heather Willcox, organiser of the event, told the Weston Mercury: "We will use life-size toys during the class instead of real animals and a trained veterinary nurse will be teaching."
She adds that a number of people have already signed up for the course, but that more are always welcome.
Meanwhile, the Glasgow Sunday Mail recently advised owners to carry out weekly health checks on their animals to help spot potential problems before they have chance to develop into something more serious, which could risk a potentially costly pet insurance claim.
