Podgy dogs hit the treadmills

Greedy dogs with big appetites are being put on diets as part of a programme to help people's pets slim down.
Doncaster-based vet Gillian Bellwood is offering pet-owners the chance to put their dogs on an individually-tailored programme to help them shed pounds and maintain health and fitness.
The programme has proved popular among many local owners, with Ms Bellwood stating that a dog's weight often goes overlooked.
"Because people see their dog every day, they often don't notice that it's gained weight and is declining in health because of it. What starts as a small problem can quickly get out of hand," she told the Doncaster Free Press.
Recent research by the US national Research Council has found that as many as 25 per cent of pets in the western world may suffer from problems related to obesity, WDEF.com reports.
For those without dog insurance, the problems may result in rising medical expenses for preventative treatment.
