Pets 'significant in quality of life' - pet health insurance

The importance of pets to the quality of people's lives is due to be outlined in a religious setting next month.
According to the Wymondham and Attleborough Mercury, a special service is to be held next month where a blessing is due to take place and the benefits of furry friends will be discussed.
Retired veterinary surgeon and church warden Alan Stevenson, who will give the talk, tells the publication: "Part of the reason for having a pet service is to encourage people, especially the children, to come along to church who might not normally think of doing so."
Consumers eager to help their animals live as long and happy a life as possible may find it is wise to purchase a pet insurance policy.
Meanwhile, a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Directors Association suggests that older people could improve their quality of life by keeping a robotic dog.
