Advice offered on feline acne - pet health insurance

One US publication has urged cat owners to consider what they bring to the table when feeding their pets.
Cat owners who find their friendly felines are plagued with unsightly acne might like to consider changing feeding arrangements, the Los Angeles Chronicle states.
Writing in the publication, Pradeep Chauhan suggests it is generally accepted that feline acne, which affects the chin and lips, is most often caused by the use of plastic feeding bowls.
Simply changing the bowl to a stainless steel model can often address the problem, it states.
However, he adds that other factors can also result in the condition, including stress, the presence of other diseases or poor grooming habits.
Meanwhile, fabcats.org states that feline acne is probably more common than is generally recognised but that most cases are mild and pass unnoticed.
Those pet owners who want to ensure that their animal stays in ideal condition might like to review their pet health insurance arrangements to make sure that the best possible cover is available.
