Muttley Mikey takes on Annie role - Pet insurance for dogs

A rescued dog is ready to shine in the limelight in the hit Broadway musical Annie.
Mikey has spent three years in the wings as an understudy for the role of Sandy and is now stepping into the spotlight.
He has gone down a storm with the cast members.
Amanda Balon, who plays Annie, said: "He's really talented. We give him hand commands because we can't say 'stay'. Mikey comes over to my hotel room and we have sleepovers."
The furry actor was recruited and trained by animal expert William Berloni. The animal trainer was just a teenager when he had to find a Sandy for the then unknown Annie musical.
He found the original canine star in a dog pound and rescued him a day before he was due to be put down.
"I made a promise to myself to always use dogs in shelters," said Mr Berloni.
The original Sandy was a mongrel mixture of Collie and Airedale breeds. Airedales have been called the king of terriers and were used as messengers in World War 1. They can suffer hip problems although breeders and owners can consider pet health insurance.
