A homeless deaf dog has been welcomed into a new family thanks to a dog's trust.
Dog's Trust Bridgend rescued Corky because he was often found alone in the streets. Now the dog has joined a family with a host of other pets including five cats, a rabbit and two other dogs.
"Corky is accepted by all the family. We are all madly in love with him and we can't imagine what our life was like before he came in it," said his new owners to newswales.co.uk.
The family report that Corky quickly settled into his new surroundings. Meanwhile, the trust currently has another deaf dog in need of re-homing in its Dog's Trust Darlington branch.
Three year old Doris is an English bull terrier that visits the trust's office and is a hit with the staff. She is reported to communicate using sign language.
Those worried about the health of their pets, including long-term conditions, can consider pet health insurance.
