Increasing numbers of owners are getting their dogs involved in dancing, according to a new report from one stateside news provider.
The Globe and Mail asserts that canine musical freestyle requires dogs and owners to take on a number of disciplines, requiring both "ballroom bravado" and a keen appreciation of dog-show style.
A sport harking originally from British Columbia, dog freestyle has since become an international phenomenon as owners take the opportunity to bond with their pets.
The canine capers see dogs learn dance routines to perform alongside their human partner.
Obviously such activity has the potential for minor accidents and those taking part could be well advised to invest in pet insurance for dogs.
One handler, Sandra Davis, and her dogs Pepper and Jabba have achieved celebrity status through their work on the dancefloor. Please click here for more information on pet health insurance and a pet insurance online quote.
