Fat cat can't fit cat flap - pet health insurance

A cat in Italy is so obese he cannot fit even his head through a cat flap.
Overweight Orazi tips the scales at 35.2Ib which is the average weight of a two year old child. The ginger tom is heavier than the average cat by 28Ib.
Vets are reported to be unsure whether the cat has an undiagnosed medically related problem or if he is simply overfed by his owner, Laura Santarelli.
Orazi is not the only cat with a weight problem.
Four years ago, Sam, a cat from Britain hit the headlines. He weighed in at 36Ib and his vast size was traced back to what his owners fed him. His diet consisted of cakes, crisps and sweets.
However, both Orazi and Sam are pounds away from being the fattest cat in the world. This was claimed by an American cat who clocked up 41Ib on the scales.
Cat experts on motherearthnews.com suggest that owners should be cautious feeding their pets too much fish and any egg white.
Pet health insurance can be helpful to those concerned about their pet's dietary health.
