An appeal to help a cat that was injured in a road accident in the midlands has seen £650 donated by local animal lovers, it has been reported.
Tomcat Bobby Boots was rescued by Cat Action Trust 1977 members after he was involved in a vehicle collision last month, according to the Kidderminster Shuttle/Times & News.
The charity spent over £1,000 in vet bills to treat the injuries of the brave feline, who would have found pet insurance useful.
Although the cat is recovering from his wounds, which included a dislocated rear leg and injuries to his front paws, he is expected to walk with a limp and develop arthritis as he ages.
Coll Mealing, a volunteer with Cat Action, told the newspaper: "We have got £650 and the cheques are still coming in.
"I want to say a big thank you to all the people who donated but we do still need money."
Cat Action aims to help feral cats by neutering adult felines, finding homes for kittens and taming stray cats which are open to human contact.
