A blind dog that has been without sight since birth has been offered a new home, after appearing on television.
Long-haired dachshund Lucy starred on Channel 4's Paul O'Grady Show last week in a bid to find a new owner, reports the Diss Express.
The dog needed to find a new home, as her lack of sight makes her nervous around other animals.
Since Lucy appeared on the programme, the Jerry Green Dog Rescue Centre in Metfield has been flooded with phone calls about the pet, with manager Tim Adams suggesting her new home could be in Middlesbrough.
Mr Adams told the newspaper: "Our phone lines went absolutely crazy after the programme. A potential new home for Lucy has come from the Paul O'Grady Show."
The Jerry Green Dog Rescue Centre looks after stray and unwanted dogs and attempts to find them new homes. It also looks after four legged friends that have been willed to the centre by owners.
