Pony wants to enter dog contest - Cheap pet insurance

A west Anglian dog grooming competition may be gatecrashed by an unorthodox entrant, it has been reported.
Dancer, a Welsh pony, is to attempt to enter a 24-hour dog grooming challenge by being disguised as a dalmatian, according to the Wisbech Standard.
After catching Dancer out at a dress rehearsal, organisers have decided to let the pony enter, because they don't have enough dogs for the challenge.
Staff and students on the NVQ dog grooming course at the College of West Anglia were going to try for the world record in 24-hour dog grooming.
However, after discovering that a group of Australian vets set the world record at 848 dogs in eight hours, they had second thoughts.
Jayne Marchant, course director, told the paper: "We just haven't got 848 dogs in Wisbech so we're having a go for the individual record.
"And we might have to sneak the odd pony in."
The group now plan to use the event to raise money for an animal shelter in Turkey.
While doing all that hair cutting, the students should be careful of the dog's ears - the Guinness World Record for the longest pair stands at 34.9 centimetres.
