Largest dog walk record attempt - Pet insurance

The Guinness World Record holder for the largest dog walk is to attempt to break his own record - for the eleventh time.
Attempting to smash his record of 10,272 dogs in one walk, north-east teacher Tony Carlisle has began looking for other dog walkers to help him accomplish the feat, reports ukpets.co.uk.
Mr Carlisle began organising the annual walks in 1990 to raise money for charity and has so far raised close to £3 million for good causes.
Dog walkers and their canine friends will have the choice of four different coastal routes taking in breathtaking scenery and are unlikely to put a dent in their pet health insurance.
Taking place in South Shields on June 15th, the event also has routes with concrete to allow buggies, wheelchairs and older dogs to take part.
According to Guinness World Records, the highest jump by a dog was 127.7 centimetres, by a holly grey called Cinderella May in 2006.
