Day care for dogs - Pet insurance

A Sunderland business is offering a luxury day care service for busy dog owners who want to see their pooches pampered while they are at work, it has been reported.

My Pet Stop, near Washington, already provides a range of boarding, shopping and training services for dogs, according to the Sunderland Echo.

Featured at the centre are double-glazed boarding apartments which include a double bed and television, while there is also an on-site shop selling diamante collars and a salon offering pet beauty treatments and hair cuts.

However, Doggy Day Camp has also been launched at the centre, offering a playschool for pets while their owners go about their business.

Those attend the day care spend the day socialising with other pets and are giving toys and games by the centre's staff.

Cath Harvey, centre manger, told the newspaper: "Doggy Day Camp means that people who wouldn't normally be able to have a dog because of the hours they work, can."

My Pet Stop also offers training classes for those that believe their pet as the potential to contend at Crufts, which includes agility and obstacle courses.
