Dog blog for worried owners - Insurance for dogs

A Penrith boarding kennel is offering concerned dog owners the chance to read how their pet is getting on, it has been reported.

Owners with pets at the kennel run by Ingrid Grayling will be able to log onto a blog to check updates on what their dog is doing, reports the Carlisle News & Star.

Among the information is how far the dog has walked, the games and activities it has taken part in, the meals it has enjoyed and whether it has made friends with any of the other animals.

Ms Grayling said that the daily update will help to reassure owners who are wondering how their pet is coping and can be emailed to them every evening, so they can keep track of their dog no matter where they are.

"We'll put down everything the dog would tell you, if it could speak - including the routes it went on, the weather, the names of any new pals, what was for dinner, and its favourite games," she told the newspaper.

Last week, the Sunderland Echo revealed that a local business will offer a day care service for dog owners who do not want to leave their pets at home.
