Cats take personality test - Online pet insurance quot

Cat lovers looking to adopt a feline friend in the US can look at the results of a personality test to choose the right animal for them, according to the Associated Press.
The Washington Animal Rescue League is using a Feline-ality program to rate cats' confidence and sociability, in a similar manner to the personality tests found in magazine.
Developed by behaviourist Dr. Emily Weiss of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), the test puts a cat into one of nine personality types and matches the feline with an appropriate family.
Anyone wishing to adopt an animal also has to fill out a questionnaire, to discover what their personality is like.
Patricia McConnell, animal behaviourist, author and radio host, told the news agency: "Any kind of test is somewhat limited, but it's an excellent idea to be thinking as much as we can about what's the right cat for the right home, and whether we can do some matchmaking."
According to the ASPCA, the categories of cat personality include the party animal, the leader of the band, the sidekick and the secret admirer.
