Cat rescue centre celebrates ten years - Pet insurance quote

As part of Wrexham Cats Protection's tenth anniversary, a new display is being set up with the help of local cat lovers.

The organisation has rescued thousands of felines since it was first established and in recent weeks it has been calling for people to send in their cat adoption stories, the Flintshire Standard reports.

According to the newspaper, the stories will feature in a display to mark the celebrations.

Gwyneth Walker, adoption centre manager at the organisation, said that since 1998, it has managed to re-home more than 7,000 cats and kittens.

"Some of the cats we had rescued had been in a poorly state after living on the streets and it was wonderful to see how happy, content and pampered their lives are now," she remarked.

As well as taking in and re-homing cats, the Wrexham and District branch of Cats Protection provides a ranges of services.

Cat owners can obtain cat care advice and can participate in educational talks.
