UK Lab cross could be world's oldest dog - Online pet insurance quote

A Derbyshire couple are trying to prove their pet is the oldest dog in the world, reports the BBC.
David Richardson said that when he bought Bella, a black Labrador cross, from the RSPCA 26 years ago, she was "at least three years old".
He and his partner Daisy Cooper are now trying to prove to Guinness World Records that the ancient mutt, which really should have pet health insurance, is the world's oldest dog.
Mr Richardson told the news provider that he almost did not choose the dog when he went to the animal charity.
He revealed: "My choice was between Bella and another dog. She seemed friendlier so I chose Bella."
Ms Cooper added that the pet, which only has two remaining teeth, is beginning to show her age, but still enjoys walking in the park.
However, Bella's bid for fame may not be upheld by Guinness World Records, which says that it needs clear proof of the dog's age before it can award the title.
Earlier this year, research by Sainsbury's showed that the estimated lifetime cost of owning a 20-year-old dog is £16,930 - but did not even guess how much a 29-year-old would set the owner back.
