A family pet is giving her owner a helping paw with the domestic chores, it has emerged.
Sandie, who is a cross between collie Sheltie and Staffordshire bull terrier, helps her disabled owner Sue Line with the washing and other tasks, reports the Coventry Telegraph.
Ms Line, from Exhall, revealed that the helpful hound can pick up the phone and bring it to her, as well as find her glasses and pick up objects that drop from her wheelchair.
In addition, the dog likes helping out with the washing, as Ms Line told the newspaper: "Sandie doesn't even mind climbing into the drum to collect the last clean sock."
Sandie started to have lessons with the Nuneaton Dog Training Club when she was a puppy and is also being taught by small charity Dog Aid.
Dog Aid provides training to people with physical disabilities and their canine companion, to ensure that the animal is well disciplined and able to understand a wide range of commands.
