Labrador finds message ? from Labrador - Pet health insurance

A labrador dog is at the centre of an unlikely coincidence after finding a message in a bottle - from an Inuit in Labrador, it has emerged.
Joe, a pedigree white labrador, was on a remote beach in the Shetland Islands when he ignored the sticks his owner Ingrid Isbister had thrown and retrieved a plastic bottle, reports the Shetland Times.
In an amazing coincidence, inside the bottle was a message from Amos Henry Semigak, who is an Inuit from the town of Labrador in Canada.
The letter was written on June 10th last year, meaning it had spent almost one year bobbing around the world's oceans before arriving on Braewick beach in Eshaness.
Ms Isbister told the newspaper: "It's quite amazing that Joe went for the bottle, because his father is a drugs dog on the island, so maybe he has some of his dad's ability to find things." Labradors are known for their ability to retrieve objects and love to play in water, according to dogbreedinfo.com.
The breed is actually named after the town in Newfoundland, Canada, where the message came from.
