Humble adopts RSPCA dog - Cheap pet insurance

TV presenter Kate Humble has adopted a dog from the RSPCA ahead of the start of Pet Adoption Week.

The BBC Springwatch presenter gave Badger, a neglected crossbreed terrier, a new home after spotting him at the RSPCA's Newport Animal Centre2.

After being underfed by his previous owner, the two-year old dog was treated by the RSPCA and his weight increased from 4.8 kilogrammes to 8.8 kilogrammes in just one month.

Ms Humble said: "Give an animal like Badger a new home and you give him new hope.

"It's brilliant and I've loved every minute of adopting my dog."

RSPCA Pet Adoption Week runs from June 7th to 15th and aims to encourage people to adopt a rescue dog from one of the charity's homes.

Dogs that the RSPCA are currently looking to rehome include Charlie, a five-year-old black lurcher cross who enjoys chasing toys, and elderly Duke, a ten-year-old black-and-tan crossbreed who does not like cats.
